# jemdoc: menu{/home/public/MENU}{/home/public/aboutme/index.html}, showsource # jemdoc: addcss{../jemdoc.css} = About This Page You might be wondering why this website doesn't look like [http://www.feedmusic.com/ this one], or [https://www.etq-amsterdam.com/ this one], or any of the others featured in [https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/best-website-designs-list this article]. The short answer is that I'm too damn busy. The slightly longer answer is that for a while I tried to have a beautiful website, and changed the design every month or so. After about a year of this, I realized that the smartest people I knew had websites that looked like [http://stanford.edu/~jduchi/ this], or like [https://cs.stanford.edu/~pliang/ this], or like [http://stanford.edu/~boyd/ this] because they were too busy solving interesting problems to worry about CSS alignment. So I found some neato burrito open-source software called [http://jemdoc.jaboc.net/ jemdoc] that lets me write a clear, well-designed website, and I haven't looked back.
