I'm John, and this is my website - I use it as a place to host interesting content and represent myself online. I was raised for eighteen years on the island of [https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kwajalein+Atoll,+RMI/@8.7289953,167.7216384,3981m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x65aeb9f09b73c9a5:0xacb7ba68a691d2a3!8m2!3d8.716667!4d167.733333 Kwajalein], a U.S. Army Base in the Marshall Islands, located about halfway between Hawaii and Australia. From 2014 to 2019 I was a student at Stanford University, where I earned my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science, with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, though my coursework spanned a broad area somewhere in the middle of statistics, optimization, and machine learning, and other kinds of math. When I'm wasn't working on my academics, I was singing with my a cappella group, [http://stanfordmendicants.com/ The Stanford Mendicants], teaching computer science courses (as a section leader for Stanford's introductory courses, [http://web.stanford.edu/class/cs106a/ CS 106A], [http://web.stanford.edu/class/cs106b CS 106B], and [http://web.stanford.edu/class/cs106x/ CS 106X]), or exploring one of Stanford's many beautiful roofs. After graduating from Stanford, I moved to New York where I currently live and work as a Quantitative Researcher for [https://www.twosigma.com/ Two Sigma]. In my spare time, I enjoy taking long walks around the city, going for bike rides, playing computer games, reading, and spending time with my friends.
